Tabor Bread began 25 years ago in the backyard of Tissa Stein’s Petaluma home -- in an outdoor oven built by Alan Scott, a blacksmith who is credited with the revival of brick-oven baking.
Today, a variation of Alan's red wheat boule joins our selection of over 15 breads, all of which are created by hand and made from locally sourced whole grains. We use ancient and heritage grain varietals as well as traditional wheats, combined with our natural sourdough levains.
The bakery on Hawthorne Boulevard opened in 2012. In addition to bread, we also provide a wide assortment of pastries, prepared food and espresso!
